Concept & Design: Form Meets Function
From the concept stage onwards, we support you in bringing design and function together. Our LIGNO® elements combine visible genuine wood quality with clearly defined building physics properties - in areas such as › room acoustics, › load-bearing capacity , and › fire protection and › sound insulation.
You define the spatial effect; we deliver the matching structural solution. Premium genuine wood surfaces, integrated acoustic solutions and precisely matched cross-sections are made to order at our factory.
Silver fir, knotless, patterned
_WTL (patterned)
The patterned grade is the most common. Grain and colour tone of the knotless timber sections vary considerably.
Silver fir, knotless, economy
_WTE (Economy)
This more affordable grade permits irregularities in an otherwise near-knotless appearance - irregularities that many observers do not find distracting at all (e.g. occasional longitudinal cracks and isolated small knot areas).

_WTS (plain)
The plain grade with its finer grain is something truly special: only a smaller proportion of the timber lamellae - noticeably more consistent in colour tone - can be obtained from each trunk.
Silver fir, continuous lamella _WTL-d
This patterned variant is of particular interest for wall applications, as it has no butt joints across approximately 3 m of element length - unlike the other grades.
Spruce, knotless, plain
_FIS
Spruce is also available knotless and offers a very calm, plain alternative to the "silver fir plain" grade.

Knotty spruce is the classic among timber surfaces. The even knot pattern creates a visually homogeneous component surface.
Oak, knotless

Among the hardwoods, knotless oak in particular is currently on trend as a design choice.
European larch, knotless

Other softwoods such as the larch shown, as well as douglas fir or pine, are also well suited to expressing individual design ideas.
Ash, knotless

More specialist hardwoods are also available to order: maple, cherry, walnut, or the lively ash with brown heartwood shown here are just a few examples.

The timber of the arolla pine from the Alps is attributed with positive physiological effects, including promoting healthy sleep.
We have a particular passion for native silver fir from the Black Forest - sawn in our own sawmill and carefully processed. A wide selection of further timber species is also available, depending on the › product. Different grades, profiles and surface treatments open up extensive design possibilities.
