With the ‘silver fir knotty’ (_WT-ä) surface, we offer a new, particularly economical variant in our range: the targeted use of knotty parts of the trunk - including wing knots, break-outs and areas that vary in colour and flatness - creates a raw, almost ‘unplaned’ look.
‘Silver fir knotty’ is not intended to compete with the familiar knot-free design surfaces on LIGNO® Acoustic and LIGNO® CLT, but rather to offer a new option for projects in which real wood would otherwise be out of the question.The affordable surface is ideal for budget-sensitive projects - in price-conscious residential construction, workshops or functional ancillary rooms. But it can also be of interest in all other rooms where room acoustics are required, thanks to its unique character. If planners want to consciously show the natural material in its original state, the honest and authentic solution opens up new creative possibilities.conserving resources: the new sorting allows a significantly larger proportion of the valuable fir trunk to be utilised. The increased material efficiency makes a significant contribution to greater sustainability - in the sense of responsible, resource-conserving use of wood.
