Panels made of Ligno® ensure good acoustics in Paris crèche

Die neue Kindergrippe wurde zwischen den historischen Gebäuden des Hôpital Saint-Louis errichtet – als mit Zinkpaneelen verkleideter Holzskelettbau. Im Gebäudeinneren sorgen Echtholz-Akustikpaneele von Lignotrend für gesundes Raumklima und gute Raumakustik.

Mit Akustikpaneelen Ligno® Akustik light lässt sich eine ästhetische und akustisch optimale Innenausstattung herstellen. In der Krippe Saint-Louis wurden sie an den Decken der Kinderbereiche und der Flure auf einer Unterkonstruktion montiert, die direkt an der Wand oder der Decke befestigt wird.

Die wärmer wirkende Außenseite aus Holz und Glas wendet sich dem Innenhof zu und passt sich trotz moderner Erscheinung durch ihre Formsprache der umliegenden Architektur an.

In February 2021, after twelve months of construction, the new kindergarden at the Saint-Louis Hospital in Paris was opened. The project is part of a comprehensive programme of the capital to realise innovative day care centres. This envisages making the most of vacant spaces in the city centre - with modular and demountable construction methods that are easily recyclable and can be repositioned as needed. The innovative 600 m2 nursery was realised by the Parisian architectural firm Janez Nguyen (Robert Janez and Emmanuel Nguyen) in collaboration with the Linia office. The building was constructed between the historic buildings of the Hôpital Saint-Louis - as a wooden skeleton structure clad with zinc panels. In keeping with the location, the new building attaches great importance to a healthy indoor climate and good room acoustics, to which the finishing with real wood acoustic panels (Ligno® Akustik light) contributes. Several French timber construction awards recognise the quality of the building.

Wood type

Various wood species are available for the visible layer. For quality reasons, individual wood species cannot be configured for all profiles; for technical reasons, surface treatments are excluded for some wood species.

Profile

The visible layer is profiled with joints. The code for profiling indicates in millimetres: Element width, strip width (rounded, from/to if applicable) and joint width (rounded) as well as a letter identification for variants, e.g. with chamfered strip edges or with additional height gradation.

Note: Some profiles indirectly cause exclusions for other configuration options.

Structure

The face is subjected to a brushing _gb as standard, which produces a stronger or weaker structure depending on the type of wood and makes the surface less sensitive to scratches. Alternatively, a smooth sanding _gs can be carried out, or on request a bandsaw cut _grimitated.

Treatment

Depending on the type of wood, the optional application of a surface treatment is possible ex works. Individual colour finishes are always sampled for coordination. For elements in individual lengths, colour treatment is limited to max. 5 m length.

If the soffit of the element is to have a good sound-absorbing effect, the penultimate layer is configured as absorber _a50g. Otherwise, this layer is configured as a solid wood layer _a0.

Fire behaviour

Few configurations can be configured with a flame-retardant surface. This may result in a modified element structure, greater thickness or the need for measures in the area of the substructure.
