CERTIFIED QUALITY

LIGNO® Akustik Pro has been tested for compliance with building biology standards

Lignotrend’s acoustic panels are certified – from their regional production in the southern Black Forest right through to emissions testing regarding the building biology properties of the indoor climate.

natureplus

LIGNO® Akustik Pro is natureplus®-certified. The product meets the scheme’s high standards for a healthy indoor climate, as well as the sustainability and climate protection criteria set out therein. The results of the tests can be used at European level to provide evidence for building certification (figures available on request). According to the relevant tests (ecobau 202503.14312 and 202503.14322), the ECO criteria of the Swiss Minergie system are also fully met.

  • Compliance with strict emission limits
  • Functional and quality criteria
  • Wood origin (FSC/PEFC sources) and production of the elements

Certificate Directive RL0211-0606-014-1 covers the untreated base element made of fir/spruce (natureplus® guidelines). The standard _a70g absorber made of wood fibre is also part of the certification.

IBR

The Rosenheim Institute for Building Biology has subjected pre-finished versions of the LIGNO® Akustik acoustic cladding to further testing for potentially harmful substances. The lacquered (_bl), oiled (_bh) and UV-protected (_buv) versions of the panels with a silver fir finish have also passed laboratory tests – e.g. for VOCs – and are recommended by IBR within the scope of its indoor air quality certification.

At the same time, the products were classified in accordance with the French VOC guidelines – Émissions dans l’air intérieur. Testing in accordance with ISO 16000 standards is required in France for interior finishing materials and furniture. LIGNO® Akustik meets Class A requirements in this regard.

DGNB

When assessing the sustainability of buildings, construction products must offer a high degree of transparency regarding their environmental performance. As this is a key driver for future-oriented construction, Lignotrend provides comprehensive data. The recommendation for sustainable construction is derived from the listing of LIGNO® products in the DGNB Navigator, the comparison and selection tool of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). Information on environmental impacts, the calculation of life-cycle costs, energy requirements and emission profiles for all products is freely accessible to members of planning and construction teams.

PEFC

When using wood as a raw material, its origin is the most important criterion. Lignotrend uses mainly wood from forests in the region, where sustainable management in accordance with forestry principles would be a matter of course even without certification (e.g. silver fir). Nevertheless, we ensure that the timber is accompanied by a PEFC declaration, thereby also covering a large proportion of the special timber surfaces from trees that do not grow in the vicinity of our production facilities. With the extended chain-of-custody verification in accordance with the PEFC Chain of Custody standard, production at Lignotrend is also certified under the credit method. This ensures that the flow of timber right through to our own production is transparent and traceable.
